The greatest gift ever given was Jesus.

Scripture Reading

John 3:16-17 (NIV)
16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Jesus entered the scene because of the love of God for you and me. Christmas is all about this love.

1 John 3:1a (NKJV)
1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!

1. See His Cradle

Isaiah 7:14 (NIV)
14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

2. See His Cross

Philippians 2:8 (NIV)
8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death– even death on a cross!

3. See His Crown

1 Corinthians 2:8 (NIV)
8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Psalm 24:9-10 (NIV)
9 Lift up your heads, O you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 10 Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty– he is the King of glory. Selah

1 Corinthians 15:3-6 (NIV)
3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.
